Pension Plan participants now may also name a contingent beneficiary for their Preretirement Survivor Benefit

We are pleased to report that the NYSNA Pension Plan Board of Trustees recently agreed to allow all Pension Plan participants the opportunity to designate a contingent beneficiary to receive your preretirement death benefit if your designated beneficiary(ies) predeceases you prior to your retirement date. This important option is effective April 1, 2020. To update your beneficiary information or add a contingent beneficiary, you must fill out a Preretirement Survivor Beneficiary Designation form.
